KEEP:I can post comment via this topic "ise of the Wiki Workplace & Best Buy䏭 Bottom-Up Innovation", so I post by myself
I totally agree with the concept in this paragraph, especially in two points, first one is “listen to customers more” ,and the other one is “pay more attention on local store.” I think both of these two concepts are very important for big retailer companies, such as Walmart and BestBuy. First, the customers are always be the most importnat parts for retailer, even their final goal is earning money.
Last Friday, I remember that I attended one of the lecture in Drucker Centennial. The speaker,Mr. Masatoshi Ito, is the founder of 7-11 in Japan. 7-11 now is one of the biggest retailer company in the world. He said that the most important thing for his company is not thinking how to reduce the price in order to earn more money, instead, his goal was to let his customers feel satisfied when they came to our store every time.
On the other hand, learning how to understand and trust the local store as well as local culture is very important, because the people who work in the local store are actually the people who understand their culture the most. No matter how amazing experience or idea the people in headquarter have, it is impossible for them to understand the local culture more than the people who works and live in the local area. That is to say, if they cannot learn how to trust the local employees, it must cause problems, like the Walmart example mentioned in this article.

I agree with the concept in this section. It is very important for people to collaborate with each other, especially when these people are self-organized. Like the concept mentioned in this section, people can have more productivity when they are willing to do something by themselves, not forced by anyone else. On the other hand, one of the powerful advantage in this self-organization community is that the member all came from different kinds of places in the world, so it means that the community can get the resource donated by anyone who is in anywhere in the world. The limitation of the area disappears because of the Internet, and makes the community more powerful than before.

I agree with the concept in this paragraph. I think that it is very important to learn how to manage the knowledge. There are five methods in this paragraph, and the most interesting for me is the Time Allocation which was from Google. This concept is very useful for company to motivate its employees to create new stuff. It is actually a very good way for managing the knowledge, because people always have more passion on doing the things they are interested in, so if company can give them time and employees can all work on the right track. It must bring extra gift for company in the future.

KEEP POST: KuoLun's Snapshot

The part of this chapter is mainly talking about the company called Geek Squad which is a customers technique support company for Best Buy. The company was found by Stephens, and was mainly collaborating with the Best Buy to serve the customers. The company has a lot of unique cultures to let customers feel that they are very professional.
For the service part, the clothes of their customers agent wear and the car they drive all have to follow the specific rules, it is very precisely and amazing.
On the other hand, Stephen's company also has some special cultures, For instance, normally the business concept would be hiring the best people to do the job they need, however, instead of that, Stephen's company is to find a way to train and motivate their employees to be better in order to fit the job.
Another interesting story is about how they discover the suitable tools for his employee to communicate with each other. Originally , Stephens want his employees to use the wiki to discuss the problems and learn from each other, but he found the motivation for people to use the company's wiki is very low, and he cannot find the reason why. After that, he asked one of his employee, he discovered that they had already had a discussion platform - "Battlefield 2 online", a online video game for people to fight to each other. He took his time to play this game with his employee, he found that they really discuss when they was playing, and he decide that if they rather use this to discuss things , why should he force them to obey the company's rules. So, he decide to set up some new rules in order to let his employee play happily and work perfectly.
To be conclusion, Stephens thinks that the company culture is very important and need a lot of time to be cultivated into a ideal situation.
Also, every time when he wants to set up some rules for his employees to communicate to each other or any other new rules for his company, maybe he should observe his employees first, because they may already have self orchestrated rules between them. He only need to modify the rule a little bit to make it perfectly. I think that it is the important concept in this part, because it tells us that company should see what is the real stuff employees need. The best way to improve company is not force employees to change their original thought, the way is to observed first, and make the change base on what they already have.
